One of the fantastic things about being a teacher is that you can read children’s books for yourself without any thoughts that you are not the proper representative of the target audience. I’m reading the Clockwork, The Girl Who Walked On Air, underlining words, marking paragraphs with “appearance”, “setting” or “fight”. Each book is a whole new world and I can think how to bring this world closer to my life, what to discuss up there, what phrases to show to the children I’ll be teaching, what paragraphs to take as examples… Long story short – I’m having a good time!
